The interface is compatible with USB 1.0 or USB 2.0 ports and the required driver is provided on the supplied CDROM. Power for the device is supplied by the USB bus, so no external power supplies or sources are required. After running the installation software, just plug into the USB port and you’re ready to read and/or record data. ASC-429-Rx1-USB software is provided free of charge with the reader. This powerful software allows monitoring of ARINC 429 labels, rates, and data, allows recording of data to text file, and may put the reader unit into various modes that facilitate debugging and development.
